How many troops invaded Poland?

In September of 1939, Germany invaded Poland with a total of 1 850 000 troops. The amount of troops Hitler used to invade Poland essentially made up five armies.



How long did it take for the troops to take over the whole country?

Once the troops entered Poland, it took as little as two weeks to take over Poland. It is said some though that it was by October 6th of 1939, that the very last of the Polish troops were wiped out and the German soldiers were officially ''victorious''.

Poland responded once they were able to comprehend that Germany was attacking on 1600 kilometers long front, was to build up their own forces which included some 1 000 000 soldiers What did Britain and France do? Britain and France reacted by declaring war on Germany on September first, but didn’t help out Poland directly by supporting or protecting them

What happened next?

by October 1939, Germany had successfully taken over former Polish territories and was under Nazi Germany control. Germany occupied the remainder of Poland when it invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941, and would remain under German occupation until January of 1945.
